Making Contributions
There are a number of ways to make contributions to Amanah KiwiSaver Plan:
Employee and employer Contributions
If you are employed, when you join Amanah KiwiSaver Plan your employer will automatically deduct contributions from your before-tax salary or wages at the contribution rate you selected (3%, 4% or 8%). You may also be eligible to receive employer contributions where your employer will match your contributions up to 3% of your income.
Voluntary Contributions
If you are self-employed, not employed or wish to contribute more to your Amanah KiwiSaver Plan account, you can make voluntary contributions to Amanah KiwiSaver Plan by:
- Bank Deposit
- Account name: TEA Custodians (AmanahNZ) Limited
- Account number: 12-3198-0066681-02
- Bank: ASB
- Direct Debit
- Please complete the direct debit form and send this to Amanah Ethical at PO BOX 4070, Shortland Street, Auckland 1140, with:
- A copy of one of the following documents in the name of the bank account holder:
• Bank Statement
• Pre-coded deposit slip
• Cheque
• Online bank account statement
- A copy of one of the following documents in the name of the bank account holder:
- Please complete the direct debit form and send this to Amanah Ethical at PO BOX 4070, Shortland Street, Auckland 1140, with:
- Via IRD
- Choose the "Pay tax" option on your internet banking service. You need to include:
- period "0" (zero).
- the tax type "KSS", and
- your IRD number
- Choose the "Pay tax" option on your internet banking service. You need to include:
contribution holidays
If you're an employee, once you've been a member for 12 months you can take a break from saving - this is called a contributions holiday. A contributions holiday is for employees who want a break from making KiwiSaver contributions from their pay.
There are 2 options:
- a contributions holiday (if you've been a member for 12 months or more)
- an early contributions holiday (if you've been a member for less than 12 months).
